Year 7 sports tests

Inspired by the amazing achievements of Team GB at London 2012, all of Year 7 were involved in a day of sports testing to identify the next Jessica Ennis, Ellie Simmonds and Laura Trott.

Working alongside coaches from athletics, badminton, taekwondo, football and basketball, the students were put through a series of physical and movement skill challenges to assess their sporting prowess.

Students who showed true potential have been invited to form ‘Team HGAED,’ our gifted and talented squad.

As members of Team HGAED they will receive additional coaching, the opportunity to take part in these sports after-school, and also the opportunity to represent HGAED at local and national sport competitions.

A few lucky individuals will also receive a Sports Scholarship to help support them in realising their potential – that of a Olympic star!
