Ibrahim Bash-Taqi - tributes from students

Ibrahim 3

Tributes from students to Ibrahim Bash-Taqi, our sixth form student who died on Wednesday 24 November. If you would like to add a tribute please email j.fletcher@harrisdulwichgirls.org.uk.

We will miss your support and company at our coaching group. You made a difference to us all, and your caring and positive attitude will never be forgotten.
Thanks.
Manchester 2 coaching group

I didn't know you but I always used to see you around the school, mainly around the humanities and sports & fitness departments. You looked so kind and full of life, whoever would have guessed that you wouldn't be with us anymore??? Maybe God really missed you to take you back so soon. We all thought you'd have such a long and great life ahead of you. Wednesday was really emotional, even I cried! You're loved by many and will never be forgotten by any. Rest in eternal peace Ibrahim, for we'll never forget you! Lots and lots of love.
Hawanatu

IBS was in my tutor, History, Sociology class, went home together and went to see Oliver Twist in concert with our History class.  Me and IBS shared numerous memories; he will never fade from my heart.  IBS was a loving, caring and full of life person.  There was nothing IBS could NOT do, or set his mind on doing.  Within a short time IBS has touched so many hearts and minds and adore him for it.  Love you loads IBS and R.I.P.

It’s still really hard to believe you’re actually gone, and I think a part of me will always believe that you’re not.  You were always such a gentlemen and had so much ambition, and I admire you for that.  Today double English wasn’t the same and I don’t think it ever will be.  You will be truly never forgotten and will always be in our thoughts and hearts.  R.I.P Ibrahim.
Amina

I didn’t know you long or have many conversations but the time I knew you I learnt that you were a gentlemen with ambition and determination and you would have made a great Head Boy and I would have loved and enjoyed the time I worked with you.

God blessed you and needed you above to watch over us to guide and protect us.  You may be gone but your memory will live on.
Aileen

I didn't get to know Ibrahim or be able to see him around the school but I know that he was a person who will be remembered always in our hearts. I heard from other students how he was an intelligent and a kind person. For him to be taken from us like that is horrific and I would like to give my condolences to his family and friends also. The day after he was taken away from us, I cried. I guess what I am basically trying to say is that I and everyone in the school will never forget him, Rest In Peace Ibrahim.
Hang

He was a great young man with high aspirations and a great smile which could light up a room.  He will be an inspiration to me for the rest of my life.  I am honoured to have known such a talented young man.  And remember, I love you and you will be missed.  I know that you are at peace now and that you’re watching over us. R.I.P and you will always be in my heart.
Shandelle Samuel

Ibrahim, you’re truly going to be missed.  Ibrahim was the sort of person that wouldn’t hurt a fly; he always put the needs of others before his.  He was what you would call a true gentleman.  Ibrahim will always be thought about.  My condolence goes out to his family.  May he rest in perfect peace.
Shanequa White

Me and Ibbie were really close, he always said we were twins and came as a package!  He was in all my lessons and I spent most of my free time cracking jokes with Ibbie.  He would laugh even when my jokes were not funny to make me happy!!  I’ll always remember him as an amazing person and he’ll be missed by everyone, I’ll miss him so much!
Denisa Hasa

There is a saying that “naked we come and naked we shall go”.  Your life on earth was truly wonderful, you were an angel on earth, one of a kind, a role model, a brother and a friend.  Who will help me with my maths revision?  Although you are gone I know your presence is always with me, replying back to my questions in my mind.  Love you and will always miss you. Xxx

I will never forget the first day I met you, Dragons Den, people kept asking you to write their speech.  The days where we laughed for no reason with all of us.  The ’fights’ that used to go on.  No one could beat you, could they?  Remember don’t betray Fanta with Sprite.  You were so bright and you shouldn’t have gone, but you’re probably in heaven mingling with everyone up there.
Charlotte Rebbeck

When words are true they come naturally, the truth is, we never spoke much and weren’t really close, but we got on well.  You’re a friendly guy who always looked out for his mates and was always happy.  I remember once I had hurt myself and you laughed and said “when aint you lot”
I will miss you R.I.P Ibrahim
Carol Ann Bruce

It’s not all the time that we meet genially nice and caring people, but I’m proud and glad to say that I have met one.  We may have lost an incredible person but we’ve all gained a wonderful guardian angel.  Ibrahim will never be forgotten. Rest in perfect peace Ibrahim x
Indya Bynoe

Ibrahim was such a nice, kind warm hearted person, with a lot of potential.  You didn’t deserve to go but I know you are in  a better place.  I’m glad I met you and happy that I actually did share some good time with you.  You will truly be missed and you’ll always be in my heart.  I may have never told you I love you but I do.xxx
Jola

An inspiration to us all.  You will be missed by many, remembered by everyone.  There was not one bit of bad within you.  Rest in peace.

It was an honour having such an inspirational and genuine friend.  You always carried a smile on your face and would light up a room.  Nobody has a bad word to say about you and we all miss you deeply.  May your soul rest in prefect peace, you truly were a gentleman.
Chloe Smith

One of the gentlest, kindest people in whole sixth form.  It was very nice knowing you for the small time that I did.  I will never forget you, you are forever in my thoughts.  Rest in peace.

Love Bianca Playle

I don’t know you that much but I know you are in a better place.  Rest in peace.
Blessing

Your intelligence was beyond words and imagination that sometimes it would be hard to be within your trail of thoughts.  Your seat in English will forever be yours beside me, as even though you won’t be sitting there in person.  Your presence will always be with /beside be. Love you loads.
Fatima

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you for a long time, but I knew you enough to know you were a great person and one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met.
Badreia

“1993-2010”.... Such a short life, but I know many people who have had more years but have not achieved the things you did.  The last thing I said to you was “alright captain head boy yeh!” you laughed....  You still in my eyes hold that position because you were a leader, a leader of many things.  Such a gentleman you could teach a lot of guys your age many things.  You will be dearly missed but you will never be forgotten.  May you rest in peace Captain.
Rianna

Ibrahim was a lovely young man.  He was kind, humble and a honest young man.  My regards to his family and I wish he may always be in our hearts.
Rickeisha Gordon

Sorry I never took the time to get to know you what a great guy you were.  You have truly inspired me to work hard to achieve my future goals.  You’ll always be in my memory.
Rebecca Sterling

Although I never knew Ibrahim well, I knew that he was a gentleman and very caring.  It is sad to know that he is not with us anymore however he will still be in our hearts.
Rosemary McLean

It’s been a few days now and I still can’t believe your gone.  I didn’t know you very well but we spent the first few days of college together, that was me getting to know you, you were kind and a real gentleman that will be truly missed.  I’m going to miss your music videos, I’m keep going to YouTube and banging them out!!  Rest in perfect peace.
Love Chante Jones

Iby was a lively boy always filled us with joy.  We loved him what he was and he always was positive.  He would always put a smile on our face.  He is so cuddly to hug.  He is a star in our eyes and always will be.
Kiran Singh

I remember we were walking home from the retake session in south Norwood and I was surprised he was there and I asked why he was there, he said he was retaking Maths, I said what grade did you get, he said I got a U and I was shocked and he said “man doesn’t do numbers”.  I said what did you get in English he said A.
Kamal

I remember Ibrahim as a happy and real gentleman.  He was intelligent, brilliant, real, able, honest, independent and manner sable.  All the good words in the dictionary describes him.  He is gone but not forgotten and he will always have a place in my heart.  Best regards goes out to his family.
Bianca Coleman

Ibrahim, we weren’t friends for long but you will always be in my memories.
Ayo

There would be no words to describe him.  Normally when someone leaves, people exaggerate, saying they were the most amazing person you would ever meet.  In this case, it would be an understatement.  A genuine, happy, lively guy, you never saw him upset.  Always there to help everyone else, he could make you smile just by looking at you.  His booming voice was so soft, he truly was the big friendly giant.  No moment was awkward, no silence ever fell around people always content and laughter.  The few moments we all had will be treasured forever; a heart of pure gold.
Sophie Walsh

Only a person like Ibrahim could be so intelligent, thoughtful and positive at all times.  His aim was not only to make himself happy, but others around him too.
Tasmina Ali

Ibrahim was such an amazing person and I know no one is perfect but he was close enough to perfect.  He was always happy I never saw him being upset or sad, he will be missed so much by everyone and will never be forgotten.
Hayley

I didn’t know you for long but you will always have an imprint on my heart, you were real gentlemen. You had so much going for yourself but I suppose God wanted you by his side.  Rest in Peace
Faith

Ibrahim’s happy mood always brought out a great atmosphere. He was such a kind guy who was really dedicated to his studies, every time I saw him he would either be laughing or working hard even the people that didn’t know Ibrahim thought he was an amazing person.
Lauren Hobby

Ibrahim was a very nice and motivated young man. I didn’t talk much to him but I wish I took the time to. I will always remember and miss him.
Amrit

I didn’t know you well but you were a bright star, always happy and kind. Rest in Peace.
Ava

I didn’t know Ibrahim as well as I know everyone else but what I do know is that of everyone I did know, you were the nicest and such a gentleman. You would always hold the door open for me whenever I was behind you. You were the sweetest person I have ever met. Rest in Peace our fallen soldier. Harris 6th Form star.
Ahlem

I was shocked to hear of Ibrahim’s passing away so suddenly. He was a truly gentle,  kind and caring person.  We  were friends from Virgo Fidelis when we were 7 years old and spent many good times together.  I am honored to have known him.  He will be missed.
