Student-run NatWest bank re-launched at our academy

Here at Harris Girls Academy East Dulwich we are re-launching our in-house NatWest bank, which is run by our students. Once the bankers have started their positions students will be able to:

  • Open a bank account
  • Deposit cash into their account
  • Make general enquiries

Our newly recruited student bankers took part in a training day on Friday 14 November with a member of staff from NatWest.

Customer service skills

The students started the day with a few ice breaker games to allow them a chance to get to know each other better. They were then shown how to assist another student with completing an application form.

The students were also taught how to complete a paying-in slip and we had a couple of exercises to test their customer service skills amongst each other.

The bankers will be applying the skills learnt from this training course in the bank at Harris Girls'. We will keep you updated with the progress of the in-house bank.
