Free Expert Eye Screening for Year 7

We would like to thank John Etherington, a qualified and specialist teacher of people with visual impairment, who has kindly agreed to offer visual screening to all our Year 7 students.

Visual screening is designed to identify possible sight problems. John does not prescribe or diagnose but refers to an optometrist as required. He will also give recommendation to the school about any adjustments that need to be made in the classroom.

"I do not intend to charge for these assessments partly because my research has shown visual screenings as contributors of overall academic performance and partly because both my children successfully attended a Harris Academy," said John.

We are really grateful to John for his kind offer.
