Mother’s Day Design a Mug Competition and Cake Sale

Mothers day 2

Students took part in a Design a Mug competition for Mother’s Day.

There were so many entries and our judges had a difficult time trying to pick just one so in the end five designs were chosen.

Well done to all who sent their designs in and a big CONGRATULATIONS to:

  • Grace Mutata – Yr 10 Oriel
  • Tabitha  Odutayo - Yr 10 Oriel
  • Ethiopia Haye – Yr 10 Kings
  • Saidah Islam - Yr 8 Manchester
  • Sonique Chambers – Yr 8 Manchester

The designs were printed onto mugs by our Year 9 Product Design students and sold to students wanting a last minute present for mum, with proceeds going to our social enterprise, HOPE, which raises money for charity.

We also sold cakes baked for Mother’s day by Year 9 GCSE food technology students.
