Moon Lane Ink Bookshop Win Award for Work with our Girls
Moon Lane Ink, the independent bookshop, has won a Pan Macmillan Independent Bookshop Award for their work with our students.
The bookshop won with the idea to increase diversity in bookselling and publishing by working with Year 9 and 10 students at Harris Girls Academy East Dulwich to give them the chance to learn more about the book industry.
The bookshop will now expand its peer-run secondary school bookshop and develop a small publishing house within our school. The judges said: “The sheer commitment from Moon Lane Ink to working with their local schools was incredible and this idea has huge scope for wider industry initiatives. Outstanding!”
Well done Moon Lane Ink. We love working with you! Read more about the Pan Macmillan independent bookshop awards.
Our new bookshop, Tales on the Rye (pictured), is now open offering children a wide range of books for sale in the heart of the school – from new fiction and classics to non-fiction and revision guides.
