Tribute to Linda Eager, Teaching Assistant
It is with sadness that we report the death of Linda Eager, a much-valued Teaching Assistant at our academy, who died on Saturday after battling with a terminal illness.
Linda spent eleven years with us, first at Waverley and then at Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich, working with many students with additional needs as part of the academy’s inclusion team.
Her calm and professional manner with students and staff alike, and her obviously genuine care for the students she was supporting, brought her respect from everyone she worked with.
The work done by Linda and her colleagues is a vital and incredibly valuable part of academy life and has a direct impact on the success of our students and their readiness for higher education and the workplace. We should never underestimate the contribution they make to the lives of our students.
The governors, staff and students of Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich send their deep condolences to Linda’s husband, children and wider family. She will be very much missed.
