Photography Students Visit Camberwell College of Art
Year 9 photography students attended the Camberwell College of Arts final degree show to get inspiration for the presentation of their own GCSE work.
The show was an exhibition of students' work in their final year on the BA courses offered at CCA. The exhibtion included works from the painting, sculpture, photography and illustration departments.
Many of our students did not know that this school was in the local area and now have had a chance to visit the campus. This is important in building their aspiration and bridging the gap between secondary school and higher education.
The work in the exhibition challenged the students to rethink what the creative disciplines of painting, photography, sculpture and illustration look like.Through the exhibition they also started to understand what creative industries a BA degree may lead to.
Many of our students commented that they enjoyed the ambition in the exhibition and would try to use this in their own work.
