Year 7 Footballers Improve Their Skills
HGAED have played a couple of competitive football games over the past term.
The Key Stage 3 team lost a tight game to Harris Clapham, played on Athenlay Football Club’s pitch. We are enjoying a very beneficial link with the local club who are letting us use their excellent astroturf facilities and grass pitches for home games. Kayla in Year 7 scored a great goal and Evie put in a great player of the match performance.
The Year 7s also played Harris Crystal Palace at Athenlay in January in the Harris Cup, fighting hard but also coming out on the losing side. We had a strong and keen squad of 14 players in Year 7, and it was good to get them involved and play some competitive sport. Aminah scored a good goal in her first game for HGAED and Alyse won the player of the match.
Kinetic continue to coach the girls every Thursday after school, improving their skills and we are looking forward to upcoming games across the year groups against other schools.
