Auction of GCSE art
STOP PRESS: Our auction on Wednesday 27 June raised over £1,400. A big thank you to everyone for supporting it, including the mayor and Cllr Hamvas, cabinet member for education.
You are invited to an auction of art produced by our GSCE students, to be held on Wednesday 27 June, and supported by Rosebery’s Auction Rooms.
All the work in the auction can be viewed at an exhibition which opens on Tuesday 26 June and runs until Friday 29 June. Opening times are 9am-3pm. You can also see all the items in the auction online in our auction image gallery.
The auction itself is at 7pm on Wednesday 27 June, with a private view beforehand, from 5-7pm.
The reserve price for pieces is £40. Proceeds from the auction will be divided equally between the artist and the Academy’s social enterprise company, HOPE, which supports two charitable causes: the Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation and the Nabiswa village community in south-eastern Uganda.
“It is important to us that our students understand how the professional art community operates and understand that art can be a professional route for them,” said Principal Jane Fletcher, "and also that they continue to learn the importance of global citizenship and social responsibility."
