Sixth formers get behind Red Nose Day
Our sixth form team, lead by student Rabbab (pictured), led a brilliant fundraising campaign for Red Nose Day, raising £257 for charity.
Students raised money by washing staff cars for £5 per car. They also made and sold themed cupcakes with the help of Miss Thompson and Miss Atwell, including one huge cupcake which was won after the selling of raffle tickets.
On Friday breaktime, Post 16 students ran stalls selling their cupcakes as well as other snacks, raffle tickets and red noses. Some students painted henna tattoos while others ran a 'beat the goalie competition' against the Post 16 students.
Rabbab Akram is on our student leadership team and orchestrated the entire event alongside the student leadership body with the majority of the 6th formers being involved. Thanks to everyone for making this event such a success.
