What a fantastic trip to Harry Potter World with our Year 7's! The day was filled with magic and wonder, as they entered the fictional universe. The snow edition has really got us in the mood for winter at HGAED!

2014 Ski Trip - booking now open

Nine day snow sports trip: Arinsal, Andorra - February half term 2014. Booking now open.

I am writing to invite your son/daughter to an adventure trip of their lifetime; a 9 day fully instructed snow sports trip to Arinsal, Andorra situated in the Pyrenees mountains. This Academy trip will be run in partnership with Harris Girls’/Boys’ Academies, East Dulwich.  Download full letter and reply slip.
 
This trip is being advertised an academic year in advance and is open to the cohort of Year 8 and 9 students of 2013-14 (the current year 7 and 8 students) regardless of their skiing ability – In fact this trip is ideally suited to first time skiers or for those who have skied before with 4 hours of dedicated ski tuition a day - A fantastic snow sports programme is highlighted at the end of this letter.
 

DSCF6699We will be staying at the 3* Hotel Patagonia, located in the heart of Andorra’s Arinsal Valley and situated directly at the ski lifts. The Hotel Patagonia offers beautiful mountain views and fantastic facilities including an internet café, games room, pizza snack bar, restaurant, evening entertainment, shops and much more.

 
Included in the cost of the snow sports trip is as follows:
 
  • 6 days of instructed skiing lessons (4 hours of skiing per day – 2 hours in the morning & 2 hours in the afternoon)
  • 6 day Ski pass
  • Skis, boots, poles & helmet hire (Students will have to purchase suitable winter clothing i.e gloves, hats, goggles, sallopettes, jacket etc)
  • Full Board Accommodation, including breakfast, hot lunch and evening meal.
  • Use of all hotel facilities including a full evening entertainment programme
  • 5* Executive coach (TV/DVD/WC) &  Ferry Crossing
  • 24 hour emergency support throughout the trip
  • Snow Guarantee (piste closure insurance) 
  • Ski loss and breakage insurance
  • Fully comprehensive Winter Sports Travel & Medical Insurance
  • Personal Acorn Representative for the duration of the trip

This trip departs on Friday 14 February 14’ and returns on Saturday 22 February 14’ (February half term).  The cost of the trip is £799 and includes all transport, travel/activity insurance, full board accommodation, 6 days of instructed ski lessons, specialist equipment and a full evening entertainment programme – Unfortunately spaces are limited, so get the deposit in quick.
 
If you are interested in your son/daughter attending the trip then please download the letter and complete the reply slip at the bottom, and return ith a deposit of £49 to either Mr Mansell at HGAED student services, Harris wing between 8.30-8.40am daily or to a member of staff at the Student Reception at HBAED. A monthly instalment programme commences where your son/daughter will be issued with a payment card and monthly payments can then be made – Full payment MUST be made by 2 December 2013.
