National School Sports Week 2013
To celebrate National School Sports Week (24-28 June) we're organising a host of sporting opportunities for students - from horse riding to yoga, tennis to archery.
Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week is a week-long celebration for schools, inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During the week, our students will be able to take part in more sport, try new sports and learn about the values and ethos of sport.
Here's a taste of what's on offer (some activities may be subject to change):
-
Horse riding at Dulwich Stables
-
Swimming at Peckham Pulse
-
Softball
-
Tag rugby
-
Lacrosse
-
Basketball
-
Martial arts
-
Roller skating tuition from a pro coach
-
Yoga
-
Tennis
-
Military fitness
-
Archery
Through the activitivities we aim to raise the profile of sport and a healthy lifestyle among young people and celebrate our school’s sporting achievements.
Sport encourages young people to work co-operatively, provides opportunities for young people to exercise leadership and responsibility, and fosters positive and effective links with the world of work and the wider community.
