Students back Uganda women's project
In June we took £4,000 to Uganda, raised by our students, to help start a women’s project with the Bagwere people in the village of Kameruka.
The money will be used, for example, to build pens to rear goats and chickens, and provide tools and vaccinations to care for the animals, as well as training so the women can run their own businesses and care for their land properly, and produce enough crops to feed their families.
This builds on our long-standing link with communities in this part of Uganda.
