Students celebrate GCSE success
Students at Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich celebrated another year of excellent GCSE results as they maintained the solid improvement made by the school since 2010.
Students achieving 5 A*-C grades at GSCE, including English and Maths, rose to 67%. This was all the more remarkable in a year when exam grades were slightly lower than last year in much of the country. Principal Jane Fletcher said:
“The hard work and dedication of our students has been rewarded with a strong set of results. It is very satisfying to have been able to consolidate and improve our results, which are more than twice as good as when we opened as an academy. We will keep up the pace to build on our improvements again next year.”
The top departments for GCSE results were Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Music, ICT, Art, Maths, English Language and Literature.
