Poultry in Motion - Students Visit Mudshute Farm
Tuesday 24th February saw the Science department take a group of girls on a trip to Mudshute Farm.
The day went very well, students were engaged and the sessions were very informative.
The centre provided students with a hands on approach to keeping livestock, in particular the handling of chickens. The course was very comprehensive covering all aspects from health and safety, housing chickens, feeding and looking for signs of illness.
The day involved a mixture of classroom and hands on based activities which kept the students focused. The centre provided a wealth of information and the group of girls selected to be science leaders thoroughly enjoyed the day.
