Meet the A team

Students in year 11 pictured celebrating their A and A* grades for English and Maths GCSEs, which they took early in November 2010.

Everyone in this picture achieved an A or A* grade in both English AND Maths.

Overall, 60% of students have already achieved A*-C in both English and Maths, with that percentage certain to increase after this summer’s exams.

‘The teachers were really motivating but it was the students’ efforts that made the difference,’ said Nadia Osumanu of year 11. 'People wanted to do well and there was a really creative energy about the place.’

Also pictured are Quinn and Brighid, who achieved A* grades in both English and Maths.
