Summer Extravaganza Trip - Pictures

Sum Ex 31 (2)Day 5 - Thursday 18 June - Final Day!

This morning we boarded safari trucks and made our way on the African Experience......

We started at Basecamp viewing lions, tigers and cheetahs......we then entered the open lands where we stumbled across rhino's, giraffes, deer, water buffalo, ostrich, zebra and much more......

We were then dropped off in carnivore territory and walked along the primate trail were we met gorilla's, lemurs, pandas, a variety of small cats.....finishing off with the cheeky baboons!!

We have sadly come to the end of a fantastic Summer Extravaganza trip; all the students have been impeccable throughout with no issues or concerns whatsoever.

What parents said about the trip:

"Ella had a great time. She really enjoyed the walks.
On our behalf it was very reassuring  that you kept us informed and it was nice to see that they were all having a good time each day. Please pass on our thanks to all the teachers for their time and care over the week. Once again thank you."
Peter & Jeanette

"Thank you very much for organising such a well received trip. Everyone seemed to have a really great time, especially the parents! Thank you for adding to a great first year of Secondary school for Eden."

Cheryl (Eden's mum)

"Thank you for taking the girls on such an enjoyable trip. Khadijah enjoyed her time very much and is sad it has come to an end.  She felt the trip was well organised and had positive things to say about teachers and students." Sabera

Day 4 - Thursday 18 June

On arriving at Thorpe Park the students were quick to notice the skyline of roller coasters and eager to explore!

Students immediately dashed to Thorpe Parks newest ride, the Swarm. As we approached there were people walking around, "victims of a plane crash" telling us not to go on the ride, with sights of an upside down police major incident support vehicle and a burnt out fire engine!......never the less the students bordered the roller coaster.....and with several G force loops, the students throughly enjoyed the Swarm and voted it No.1

In the blazing sunshine, students also enjoyed the day riding the Nememsis Inferno, Slammer, Tidal Wave, Quantum, Samuri, Colosuss and many more......

A great day had by all - Now back to the farmhouse for a campfire with toasted marshmallows followed by a nighttime walk in the spooky woods!!!

Students have been impeccable throughout the trip to date; no issues or concerns whatsoever.....

Day 3 - Wednesday 17 June

Today we've all enjoyed an amazing day at the coastal resort of Brighton.

We first visited Brighton's Sealife centre exploring over 3,500 amazing creatures. This included the swimming through the Jurassic seas meeting the weird and wonderful creatures that have outlasted dinosaurs! We even ventured into the rainforest climbing through mangroves and coming face to face with the worlds latest species of snake and other deadly creatures under the rainforest canopy.

We then explored Brighton's historic pier and Victorian arcades, even playing a game or two on the modern arcades!

The day ended by taking a stroll along Brighton's beach in an attempt to find the worlds finest stones, shells and fossils!

In the evening we visited Hollywood Bowl....with the students challenging to get as many 'strikes' as possible......and there was only one winner!! All students are having a fantastic time - No Issues or concerns whatsoever.

Day 1 - Monday 15 June

Day one of our 5-day, 4-night, thrill-seeking, high-adrenaline residential trip to Sussex and Surrey, as a celebration for those students in years 7-9 whose behaviour, punctuality and attendance are all excellent.

We've arrived at The Mill Farmhouse safe and well.

After settling in, we took a stroll through the local countryside and then spent the afternoon at the Guildford Spectrum Water Park getting soaked riding the 'Tyre Ride', 'Super Slide' and 'Starburst'!

In the evening we walked to Leigh Hill Tower, a majestic tower that rises above the hills, where we sat at sunset admiring the views across 14 counties.

All are having an amazing time - No issues or concerns whatsoever ;-)
