'The Devil is an Ass' at the Rose Theatre

Devil is an Ass trip

On Wednesday 11 November, our Oxbridge group visited The Rose Theatre on Bankside to see Ben Jonson’s The Devil is an Ass.  The evening started with a meal at Nandos, during which the girls had a lively discussion about the projection of femininity and the gender pay gap. 

The group (pictured) then visited The Globe Theatre and looked at the site of the original Globe. Finally we attended the play - an interesting performance set across the ruins of The Rose Theatre.  The girls discussed the presentation of love and women in the play, which was a good comedy cleverly presented within the restricted space of the theatre.
