Run Raises Money for Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation
To raise money for Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation (ECHO), staff and students sold cakes and did a 10km run on Saturday 17 October 2015 at Polesden Lacey in Dorking and they were brilliant!
A big well done to Ms Findlay who ran it in 32:36 and was the first to cross the finish line.
Miss Saunders dug deep into her reserve bank and made it to the finish line in good time. Ms Saunders said: “Having never run 10k before I am glad my first time was for a worthy charity and I am looking forward to the next one”. Mrs Holness was not too far behind and she was grateful on making it up the hill and crossing the finish line.
We were able to raise £138.75! The money will provide support for children and young people with heart conditions who receive treatment at the Evelina Children’s Hospital and the outreach clinics at local General Hospitals attended by Evelina Cardiologists.
