Healthy Eating the Bike-Powered Smoothie Way
Students took to the saddle to make some smoothies on a special smoothie bike last week, with teachers joining in the fun too!
The project was designed to teach children about the importance of eating a balanced diet, including a good range of vitamins and minerals.
Students designed their own smoothies, working in groups and helping each other decide on their likes and dislikes.
Some of the girls were daring enough to try new fruits and vegetables such as avocado and spinach, and also adding herbs such as mint and basil to their smoothies.
Everyone really enjoyed the day and learned a lot too.
