Students Read Poems at WORDfest Literary Festival
Last Saturday two of our students took part in WORDfest, a literary festival celebrating writers old and young, local and world-renowned, which took place on Beckenham Green.
At the event, the Harris Federation put on an event in the Top Hat tent, where students whose work has been published in the Federation's latest anthology read their work aloud and were presented with copies of the lovely book Community.
Well done to Etta, who was an academy prize-winner, and read her impressive poem London beautifully.
Congratulations to Amazon too, whose brilliant The Thames Whale was also published and praised widely. The students were a credit to HGAED.
Well done also to the following, whose writing was published for posterity in the anthology: Amina, Alanna, Hana and Magdalena.
