Norovirus - How to Stop it Spreading
I’m sure you’re aware that there is a current outbreak of norovirus across the south east.
Unsurprisingly, it’s really easily spread in schools. It can be combatted by washing hands with soap and water regularly (alcohol gels DO NOT kill the virus, so won’t protect you) and avoiding contact with people with the bug.
Obviously we want all of our students in school receiving a great education, but any student who has had norovirus and comes back to school too quickly could be inadvertently making others ill.
Therefore, please keep your child at home for 48 hours after the symtoms have passed if you suspect that they are suffering from norovirus.
Please see the information from Public Health England or download the How to Stop Norovirus leaflet. Stay well.
