Girls Send Postcards to Genocide Survivors
This year, our girls got involved in the Holocaust Memorial Day 2018 Postcard Project where they used their own written words to respond to the experiences of people persecuted during the Holocaust and other genocides.
They read the life stories of Renie Inow, Kindertransportee and Sedin Mustafic, survivor of the Genocide in Bosnia. Students wrote how they felt after reading these experiences and the best ones were rewarded with Holocaust Memorial Day badges.
The postcards will be sent off to Renie and Sedin and we look forward to hearing their responses. Here are two examples of the postcards our girls wrote.
