First Education Project for Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art
Year 9 photography students visited Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art gallery(GCCA) recently to research and deliver presentations on some of the works on display.
These presentations will inform students' practice as they learn how research can inform their coursework. This is the first education project the new gallery has done and we are very lucky to have been selected to work with them. They are also very lucky to work with us, as our students are amazing!
The gallery is a free public art gallery bringing world-class exhibitions to south London. The curators of the show, including the director of the gallery, came out to listen to our girls' presentations.
Eventually we will be making a publication and time capsule which will then be archived in the gallery. It’s great to establish a strong bond with this exciting new contemporary art space in London.
