Wellbeing Tips on Mindful Mondays
Each Monday, we share wellbeing tips in the coaching bulletin. It’s so important to prioritise self-care and Monday morning is the perfect time to start!
We share a recording to watch or listen to, which focuses on mindfulness or wellbeing in general. It’s an opportunity for coaching groups to take a few moments together to just relax and recharge their batteries – we think of it as a positive start to your week.
Focusing on your immediate surroundings and body can really help to ground you and reduce anxiety. The 5,4,3,2,1 approach is an example of a technique we use and is especially helpful for anxiety, panic and anger.
- Take a look around you and notice five things you can currently see
- And next, four things you can currently feel (physically)
- Next, three things you can hear
- And two things you can currently smell
- And finally, one thing you can currently taste
- And to close, take one more deep breath… the deepest breath you’ve taken all day!
