Public Speaking Praise for Mujibah
Each year we participate in the national public speaking competition, ARTiculation, run by the National Gallery. ARTiculation involves students speaking about an artwork of their choice to an audience for ten minutes.
This year Mujibah from Year 12 represented the school at the Courtauld Gallery, discussing the painting Sugar Shack by Ernie Barnes, an African American artist who explored ideas of race and emancipation through his work.

Mujibah received wonderful feedback from the adjudicator, Hannah Healey, who said that Mujibah brought the audience into the painting and gave us all an opportunity to pause and reflect.
We are all very proud of Mujibah. Public speaking is a challenge for us all, especially in front of peers from across London schools, and she rose to the challenge with dedication and determination. Well done Mujibah!
