Mobility Aids Funded by Students Help Anna from Uganda
We have further news from Anna (pictured right), a child from Uganda who we have been supporting since our sixth form students funded her surgery when they visited there in 2014.
She would have died of hydrocephalus by now if we hadn't paid for her treatment.
Thanks to further donations from students her community have now been able to buy a wheelchair, special shoes and a 'stander' to improve her mobility (see pictures below).
"The doctor returned yesterday from Gulu and so we have picked the items today after demonstrating to the mother their application," said Peter from Uganda, who we have been working with to help Anna. "Thank you so much to all stakeholders."
