Students Wow Buckingham Palace with Confident Speech
Two Year 7 students, Jamie-Leigh and Renee, were invited to speak at an event held in Buckingham Palace and attended by Prince Andrew.
The event was run by the Outward Bound Trust who arranges our Year 7 residential trip to Wales. They were interested to hear from both students and staff to gain an insight into how the trip benefits our students (see picture from the trip below).
The girls wrote their own speeches about their experience in Wales and performed so confidently during the event.
The students also presented a selection of photos that they felt illustrated their experiences. Prince Andrew attended the event and spent some time with the students talking through their speeches and the photos.
Overall we are immensely proud of our students and how well they performed on the day.
The guests enjoyed their speeches and they were given some camping advice from Prince Andrew. “Why not practice camping in your garage,” he said.
